Chris blows into town

So Chris is on his way home to Alaska from Antarctica and he passed thru Seattle. We enjoyed our brief time hanging out with him.

And I thought we had a winner here, til I realized that Chris was slightly under-represented!

You may notice Kat doesn't look too animated- she has been suffering from stomach flu this week. It has advanced now to make the puking stage sound (and smell) like fun. Both car seat covers are in the wash.... we're hoping today is better. Though it hasn't been terrible, nights have been fine but anything that upsets our routine (or makes me get up early) is upsetting to my ultra-spoiled existence.

Ben scored BIG while Chris was here. he hasn't scored in the looted luggage dept in ages, but he made up for it. When all the carnage was collected, he ate 5 candy bars (missed one Cadburys), gnawed some hot chocolate mixes, bit some tea bags and completely ignored the roll of peppermint lifesavers. There were 2 kill sites, so maybe Ben gave some goodies to Boo, but I don't think I'd bet on it....Ben was one happy, wired doggie that night!

Bubbles and Birthdays

Well, one birthday anyway.....

Tonite, my birthday at Romio's. Kids eat free AND they have a balloon guy come in- he makes whatever you want. Kat wanted Ichiro...and a polar bear and she got both. He's pretty impressive, actually.

Nothing new from here

I don't know how to move stuff around on this computer....regardless, my text is below but I wanted to add this pic. This grainy, blurry photo is a dog going down the slide. Kat and I thought it was hilarious.

Well, we have nothing exciting to report. Except that with the new computer, and its attendant camera, we can video call on skype. So far we've talked to Wendy and Bryan several times, usually after US/Canada hockey games. Kat loves the video. And as soon as she saw hockey would say "call wenny". So if anyone is on Skype, or wants to be, my login is the same as my e-mail (well, the first seven letters, anyway). Look us up. We can call for free on skype with or without video.

We are up to very little. Just suffering from post-Olympic malaise and trying to figure out what to do with ourselves again. I believe that Kat and I will be heading to Florida in a few weeks to visit the folks after Dad's surgery. We may even hit a few of the parks, as Kat's free, Mom & Dad have free tx and I have one free one to Disney. If Dad is up to it. I will even look into getting a place in Orlando for a few days. So let me know if you'll be in the FL area in the next few weeks so we can meet up there. I can't wait, as the allergies are killing me here right now.....

Here's a toy that Kat doesn't have....yet. A huge box with cutouts. She would love it. Maybe soon.
