Our little monkey

I don't know why the iPhone won't actually send the pic to the blog (it sends it to everyone else). Liza's does. Can't be a user error...could it?

More Bryan and Wendy Pics

I found the missing cord (of course, after I ordered a replacement).....more pics from B&W's visit.

The birthday girl- who looks like she is all wet.
On Wendy's lap.

Here's where Kat got the idea that she should/could walk a doggie......
At the airplane museum. I thought I had a pic of B & W alley-ooping her. But I don't. But this is nice anyway.

Camping!

Well, months ago, my moms group (I don't really know/like anyone in it but anyway...) scheduled a camping weekend and I signed us up, as I was worried--rightfully so--that a camping outing wouldn't happen otherwise. We took our new tent and the whole family, excepting the feline (and our soft car-top carrier, as the back of the RAV was reserved for the dogs and their fur). We ALL had a great time! Kat is tired! I still can't find the other camera cord for the Bryan/Wendy/Kat pics. Might have to buy a new one.

Here's the new digs....it's 16'x7! We all fit with lots of room to spare. Next time we'll bring the sleeping pads and hope that will help with a good night's sleep. Everyone else (Kat and the boys) slept just fine.

In the east wing.
The west wing. Notice who headed right for the sleeping bags to lie down.....We saw this about a million times.....they were all obsessed with the tent. And they apparently had a competition to see how much gravel/sand/dirt, etc that they could bring in....I don't know who won.

Self portraits of me and the twins while Dan and Kat went in the water. It was waaay to windy (note the whitecaps) for me to think about it. But Kat dug it!
The boys were a huge hit with all of the kids...who knew that holding a dog's leash could be so exciting to so many little people. And if the dog actually got up and moved on your watch...BONUS!!!! We had to call time so they all got a turn. And many thanks Wendy for creating the monster, Kat, who now cannot walk with the boys without demanding to hold one of their leashes..... remarkably, so far, the only wipeout was in the grass--though she didn't let go as I thought she would. It will be great come sledding season.

She's TWO!!!!

Silly me, I've been holding off posting pics cause I wanted the perfect pic of her holding up 2 fingers....some day. But until then, I'll post what I have.
Bryan and Wendy were here visiting for Kat's celebration. ( I have additional pics of B & W's visit on my new camera, but I can't find the damn cord to downoad them--it is unique of course, so my other cord won't work).
You have to love the idiot twins in the door.
The three musketeers heading to the dogpark.
With the new doggie that Wendy and Bryan gave her.
And that same doggie today getting soaked in her water playground on the patio.....I wasn't fast enough to keep the little guy dry....Dough!We went to our neighbor Rodrigo's birthday party on Sunday at a bounce place. We both had a great time! I got to play too! SOOOOO fun.
Kat and Rodrigo in the b-day boy's chair.
Here's Bryan pitching to her. I can only assume that Ben is the ump (and made a bad call), as they're both looking at him......
Wendy playing in the water with Kat (she already lost the shirt when it was soaking wet).
On her actual b-day, we went to the zoo.
Her first time on a REAL carousel. Unfortunately, the outside horses don't move (must be for the pansy kids), so Dan had to hunt down one that did move for her to ride.

The last Yellowstone pics (from the other camera). I can't believe how this series looks like a painting...no wonder they call it Artists' Point. It is stunning, even in pics.

Last of the Yellowstone pics

Our last night in (actually around) the park. We drove to the Lamar Valley area to be there at dusk in case any of the big guys came out (bears, wolves). Alas, no such luck. Lots of bison, elk and a coyote. And lots of cool dusky sky pics
A few of these guys crossed the road directly in front of us. Really cool and very unnerving... You could hear them snorting and growling (had the window down for the pic).
She enjoyed hanging out there waiting for critters, as she got to puddlejump.

More night sky pics.

I had trouble deciding which one(s) I liked best.
Check out the rainbow in this one....just a single rainbow though. I prefer doubles.
We did see wolves (captive) and bears. we went to the wolf and bear discovery center in W Yellowstone (they're rehabilitated, non-returnable-to-the-wild critters). And it was cool to see them up close, as it was the best we got.
The setting on my camera was turned to something other than 'auto', but I thought Kat's pic was cool looking. I am sure that she is NOT laying on the ground after someone told her 'no' because she would NEVER pitch a fit in response to that word.
