Grandma and Grandpa come to visit

Grandma and Grandpa and their friends Sue and Lester are out here visiting for 2 weeks. They got to meet their 2nd newest grandchild and they all took to each other right away.

I've been adding more pics and not planning the order in which I'm adding them. These are pics from Olympic National Park from yesterday.

Grandpa, Grandma and Kat, all bundled up.

Dan and baby on the ferry ride- it was very windy

On the ferry, sharing a secret with Lester

Kat next to the new doll that Grandma & Grandpa brought her.

She's not sure what to make of this newcomer......

Grandpa and the baby. But which one is the real baby?

On the ferry. I've mentioned that this baby LOVES wind.

At the Mariner's game with the UB alumni Association. We won. No one expected that.

So far (they got here on Tuesday) we have been to:
-The zoo.
-Deception Pass State Park and down Whidbey Island, home via the ferry (no whales).
-The dog park a few times to run and play if one has 4 paws, and pick tons of blackberries if 2.
-A Mariner's game on our 16th anniversary (Kat's 2nd game of the week, though they lost this one- we saw a grand slam at Monday's game where they cam back and won in the 9th).
-Downtown Seattle and to the Guitar store where Dad and Lester bought Dan a new guitar.
-And, a marathon day yesterday- the ferry to Bainbridge (no whales), checked out Port Townsend (loved it- will have to go back for a weekend sometime) then on to Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park. Then several hours back home. Kat did GREAT in the car for a 12-hour day and napped only twice for no more than 1/2 hour each time. She stayed up late in the car, fascinated by the changes of the lighting from headlights coming and going and never even cried (she was close at one point with a really ugly diaper, but who could blame her?).

Apparently the new ride can fit 8- you can stuff 3 people in the back row if you really want to..... we should tell Toyota that, they may not know it.

At the M's game, playing with Grandpa's hair

I think she's doing the wave.....

Kat and Grandma at the game.

She finally got her own seat- she likes that.

Grandma & Grandpa and Lester and Sue are headed to Crater Lake and the Redwoods in northern California for a few days, so we can rest up for their return. Today I am not strapping the poor thing into a car seat, or even into Bob for that matter. It is entirely a play day for her. She has been working on her crawling. Commando style.

What an awesome post. The pictures all show everybody having a great time.

Your baby in the wind makes me laugh. Out loud. I'm serious.
